Best time to go on a helicopter tour of NYC: Ideally, the best time to take a helicopter ride over New York is either in Spring (March to May) or Fall (September to November). These seasons have the best visibility with limited winds and clouds. However, winter can also be a magical experience with snow-laden rooftops and holiday lights all over the city. You might even spot the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree!
For all New York helicopter tours, you’ll need to transfer from your wheelchair to the helicopter and sit in a seat with your legs bent during the flight.
If you weigh under 150 lbs, the staff can help you into the helicopter and will move your wheelchair to and from the heliport while you’re in the air. If you weigh over 150 lbs, you’ll need to transfer yourself or have someone with you who can assist you in getting into the helicopter.
For tours departing from Linden Airport, there’s a free shuttle from Linden Station. For tours departing from Westchester, you have the option to upgrade your ticket to include round-trip transfers.
Children under 2 years do not need tickets. Unfortunately, there are no discounts available for seniors.
If weather conditions are poor, flights may be canceled or rescheduled. If canceled, you will get a refund.
Yes, you can bring infants and young children, but they must sit on your lap throughout the flight.
Parking is available at Linden Airport and Atlantic Aviation in Westchester but not at Downtown Manhattan Heliport. You will have to find street parking if your flight is departing from Manhattan.
Yes, all heliports are accessible by bus and/or subway.
