Visitor tips

  • To fully explore all sections of the museum, set aside at least 3 hours for your visit. Arrive at around 10am when the museum opens for a less crowded experience.
  • The lines to the USS Growler exhibit located on the second floor of the museum tend to get long. So Aim to cover this exhibit in the beginning of your visit to avoid missing out on it.
  • Wear comfortable closed-toed shoes since you will be walking around a lot, while also covering tight spaces in the ship.
  • Dress in layers, as the weather, the flight deck of the museum can get sunny, windy, or chilly depending on the weather while the inside of the museum is generally warm.
  • If you’re visiting with kids, be sure to check out the 3D virtual reality movies and G-Force Encounter Flight Simulator.
